Once the knurled sleeve is manufactured, the sleeve drops into a bin. Knurled sleeves have a raised or criss crossed impression on the outer surface to assure a firm grip.

The tool chucks or collets are cooled in oil. They are then ready to be cross slotted. The cross slot holds the blade securely in place from 4 directions. The name Grifhold was created as a brand that included this extremely secure hold for blades.

After manufacturing, the handles are dropped into a bin for collection. They are cooled in oil and then ready to receive the brushed aluminum finish. The new brushed finish is sanded or ground into the surface of the tool handle.
